| (Hey Jen, if you're reading this right now, two things for you: if you keep on commenting I'll keep on updating =) and secondly I think the former Eastman caterers came to Singapore... ugh)
Okay, parade meals are always insufficient in quantity and their quality fluctuates between great and mediocre, but lunch yesterday was the pits. The rice tasted of plastic thanks to the takeaway boxes they came in, which was normal, and acceptable, but what really took the biscuit was that the cabbage was pharkin' RANCID. Eww. I took one bite and thought my taste buds were playing a trick on me. This stuff can't possibly be safe to eat, I thought to myself. My buddy Ivan took a bite and his face looked like he was going to puke. Still, nobody complained because we were all stalwart honour guards there wasn't an avenue to complain. If there were, I'd make sure someone loses his or her job. Serving us lousy food is acceptable; serving us food that has gone bad is not. And feeding spoilt cabbage to 1,000 parade participants probably warrants the death penalty. Preferably boiled alive and fed to us.
Later on in the day I wasn't feeling my best, perhaps thanks to lunch. In fact, my stomach was churning like a washing machine throughout the full rehearsal. Still, I managed to hang in there and we all performed well. So much for yesterday.
| I'm updating the space at the suggestion of Jennifer, who continues to be an inspiration through her constant encouragement...
I'm not exactly thrilled Italy won. This year's Cup was a fiasco generally speaking, with the worst team being the refereeing squad.
The first two of potentially many more National Day-themed MP3s are off the production line. I originally wanted to launch a CD with all the theme songs but Clarence said he doesn't think people would want to pay. Scrooges.
Work is piling up, with Edward's bearded medley (he seems keen on doing it) and the new piano concerto for DHS on the queue. How the hell am I going to take my diploma and driving licence? I think I can forget the latter, at least. What's wrong with bicycles?
I'm surprised some of my friends are already struck by the so-called ORD mood (Operationally Ready Date aka end of full-time service). It's approximately 31 weeks to ORD at the time of writing, according to Yunhui who's carefully keeping track. Still a long time to go. Get a grip, guys...
| Yeah I haven't updated for months... Anyway I'm attending a course at a camp with lots of classified stuff... The new theme is Final Fantasy... Actually I'm not all that crazy about it... wait, yes I am... no, I'm really in it for the music.
Nobuo rocks. Noriko Matsueda too. What, you dunno who she is? *dragon punch*
| I'm back... Realized I haven't updated for, what, two weeks? Three? Anyway there're lots of things I want to blog about but haven't the time or energy, or else they're classified so I've to be wary about landing myself in the soup.
Oh yes I managed to finish the last episode of Last Exile and it made me want to cry... The whole series probably isn't that fantastic but I'm generally more drawn to technology (and big guns).
| I've decided to go with a Bahamut-themed blog. Unfortunately, Xanga isn't the most flexible of sites in terms of blog layout...
Performance today was cancelled, for reasons unknown... good thing too because today would be the only rehearsal before onstage... I've done this enough times before not to like it much...
I've decided to book in my guitar to camp. I figured that I'd have time to play in the evenings, when cabin mates Sam and Henky usually frequent the mess. Give me three months and I'll become a master, I mean expert. (Can't think too highly of myself...)
Only my wrist hurts because I think my hands are a bit small... Time to invest in an acoustic guitar. Yes, I'm using a classical...
I need to start adding songs to my repertoire, and fast. Any suggestions?
